If you are using my Football Manager 2022 custom skin (both normal and low-resolution versions), this short post is for you. It was not meant as a purpose, it was just a coincidence 100%. But it works. I find a way how to you can see the stadiums in all their beauty. Again. Five years later.
Maybe you will remember the Football Manager 2016. I played with the Akademisk Boldklub in Denmark and I had the new stadium. When you played the match in FM16, there were always some very quick and short snippets at the start of the match.
The exact quote of the official Football Manager account If it’s possible to see more was: “That's a no. You generally only see snippets at the very beginning of the match.” Maybe you remember, they were wrong and I find the way how to do it. You can see the post about it here.
The work on the FM22 custom skin finally let me add some things back to the game as I wanted last year after the player’s widget bar was added to the match. Let’s talk about it as quick tactics buttons as they it gave me, or you who use it, the more useful way how to edit tactic including the team instructions, shouts, opposition instructions or sub players.
The last-mentioned button - Make Sub - is the key for this little game hack. It’s similar to how it worked in FM16 but it’s even easier now. The same thing is that it works during the half-time of the match you play actually.
The bottom player’s widget bar doesn’t disappear, the same as the quick buttons. The only thing you need to do is to click to Make Sub and then hit the Confirm button. And the footage of the stadium where the match is played will start. You don’t even have to make some substitutions. Just open the Make Sub popup window and hit confirm. That’s all.
You don’t have to be afraid you would lose some progress in the match. You can see the Dressing Room text is here in the top right corner where the Continue button normally is. So, the process of the half-time won’t be affected. You can hit the space bar as you are used to doing and you will enter the team talk or change tactics etc.
You don’t have to change camera settings or rewind something. As I said, just two buttons - Make Sub + Confirm.
I know it’s probably nothing too important for most FM players like I am. But if nothing more, if you will have a new stadium within your long-term saves, it can be a nice small bonus to see it.
